Day trip to Saverne

The start and finish is the parking lot at REWE & Lidl in Goldscheuer. From here it goes towards the Pierre Pflimlin Bridge over the Rhine into Alsace.

Here the tour then passes through Illkirch-Graffenstaden • Ostwald • Lingolsheim to Eckbolsheim where it then goes to the Canal de la Bruche. Follow the canal to "Soultz-les-Bains". There is a nice rest stop directly on the route. 

Then it continues on an old railway line to Romanswiller. In Marlenheim and Wasserlonne there is still the possibility to shop in a supermarket (unless you do the tour on a Sunday). From Romanswiller to Saverne it gets a bit hilly (sometimes pushing is necessary). But on the other side, you can also let it roll again.

Once you reach Saverne, the tour also passes by a supermarket (Super U). Then it continues through the town towards the "Canal del la Marne au Rhin".

This bike path along the canal is simply wonderful. Here and there are small rest areas where you can take a short break. The canal ends in Strasbourg, where it then continues towards Kehl. Upon arrival in Kehl, the tour leads back to the starting point at the parking lot.

It is a really great day tour which we will definitely bike from time to time.
