The trail is entirely flat, except for the sections ascending and descending the Danube embankment, and is mostly paved, making it highly suitable for all types of cyclists. However, the embankment includes a 5 km gravel section that is not comfortable to ride on a city bike, so an MTB bike is recommended.
Traffic along the route is generally light, making it safe for cycling. A low-traffic paved road leads from Tikveš Castle to the Tikveš Pumping Station (Cro. Crpna stanica Tikveš). At the pumping station, the trail climbs onto the Danube embankment, where the gravel surface is somewhat uneven and more demanding.
After reaching the Zlatna Greda Hunting Lodge, the trail follows a paved road through the former estate and past the Zlatna Greda Eco Centre, before returning to Tikveš Castle, now the Presentation and Interpretation Centre of Kopački Rit Nature Park.
