Roadbook
The route starts at Walddrehna station. From the station, ride briefly against the direction of travel and pass under the railway tracks through a newly built road underpass, which is not yet shown on the Alpenvereinaktiv standard map. Immediately behind the underpass, go right and then immediately left between a allotment garden and a row of trees to the northeast (see picture 2). After the allotments, continue briefly on a field path until a farm that seems to block the path with two gates. On my ride, both gates were open, and it seemed they would always be that way.
Behind the farm, go through the forest, at a fork turn left. The path becomes somewhat difficult to ride here and is also indicated as a bridle path.
You cross two power line corridors; after the larger, second corridor, continue straight through the forest to a junction where a tree at the left turn is marked with a somewhat faded but still visible red-white sign (see picture 8). Turn left here.
Continue straight, passing three intersections; immediately after the third, turn right onto a somewhat narrower path (see picture 10). This path runs in a slight left curve until it runs parallel to the federal road on the right. You can use the car noises from there as orientation. Follow this path until it ends, then turn right and reach the crossing of the B87 federal road (see picture 12). After the B87, go straight ahead through the forest for a long stretch. Eventually, you reach a signpost to Altsorgefeld, on the same post the Dahme source is already indicated. Go straight ahead there at first; at the next signpost, turn left and continue stubbornly straight through the forest to the edge of the woods.
At the edge of the forest, turn right to the Dahme source. It appears very inconspicuous with a small sign (see picture 1 and picture 20) and still looks quite dried out there.
From the Dahme source, follow the signs for the Dahme cycle route (which can be reliably found at least from Kolpien).
In Kolpien, you can see a nice mill, probably also viewable by appointment.
Dahme/Mark is a beautiful old town with a nice town wall, a short break there is worthwhile. From Dahme/Mark, the Dahme cycle route runs together with the Fläming-Skate on a very good path to Wildau-Wentdorf.
You will then be at about KM 38 of this route and shortly before Drahnsdorf, until you finally get to see the Dahme. Here you pass several old mills; the Vordermühle behind Krossen still turns (picture 33).
Before Golßen, you cross a small swamp area with wonderful views (see picture 38).
To Briesen, the route mostly continues through the forest on a nice cycle path, crossing the A13 motorway along the way. After Briesen, continue over fields to the junction to Oderin. The Dahme cycle route turns left here towards Freidorf; after Oderin, however, you leave it to the right and reach the end of this route after 1.6 km.

Equipment
For the first part of the route from Walddrehna station to the Dahme source, good fitness or good condition and suitable weather (not too wet, not too dry for too long) are recommended to get well over the bridle path through the forest.
The Dahme cycle route is continuously well rideable in this section.
