The route leads the cyclist through the Schraden, a lowland area on the border with Saxony, crisscrossed by many small canals. The Schraden is framed to the north and south by two forested ridges that are now used again for fruit cultivation on orchards. Cyclists discover here the Niederlausitzer Heidelandschaft Nature Park, impressive natural monuments, old castles and manor houses, as well as evidence of industrial culture in the Lusatia region.
