Explore Crans-Montana consists of a 19.1-kilometer loop with 491 meters of positive elevation gain. Although slightly longer and steeper than the Tour of the Small Lakes, this route remains easily accessible. The viewpoint over the plain from the "Route des Mayens" is exceptional. Moreover, this is a route that avoids taking the "Lens-Crans" cantonal road uphill, which despite its moderate traffic of 3,500 vehicles/day is not the most suitable for recreational cycling.
Author’s recommendation
The characteristics of this route are also very similar to those of the Tour of the Small Lakes. A reduced mileage
and relatively low elevation gain make this loop, drawn without ever moving away from the center of the resort, an ideal route for a bike ride accessible to everyone.

This route avoids the busiest roads.1’ To join the "Rte de la Moubra" from the "Route de la Prairie", the pre-selection can be done without problems. Clear view, enough space to pre-select before engaging on a slightly downhill road.
2’ To enter from the "Route de Chermignon-Crans" onto the "Route du Golf", the cyclist has sufficient visibility and space to possibly stop on the side of the road before proceeding. If necessary, a pedestrian crossing is directly nearby.
3’ The intersection from the "Rte du Golf" to the "Cantonal Road Lens – Crans" requires special attention to ensure the safety of cyclists who will be pre-selecting.
4’: The pre-selection from the "Route des Mayens" to the "Route de Lens-Crans" allows cyclists to stop calmly before entering at the right time thanks to good visibility and a flat road. If needed, a pedestrian crossing is directly available.
5’: When going up the "Rue Centrale," it will be indicated to go around the roundabout to go down the "Rue Centrale" in the correct direction to enter the "Rue du Pas de l’Ours".
The "Chemin de la Digue" towards the Chermignon Lake is not paved but its surface is of good quality to allow cyclists to pass.
6’: The left turn onto the "Route du Rawyl" from the "Route du Zotzet" can be made without issues since the pre-selection space offers a clear view of a low-traffic and flat road.
