Circular route Buxheimer Weiher - Memmingen
Tourist information centre Bad Grönenbach
After a first brisk climb, the route initially runs through the forest and then past meadows and fields on little-trafficked side roads. Those who like can take a first break in Kronburg and stop at the brewery beer garden. Behind Kronburg, the route finally leads you onto the old railway line, which you follow towards Memmingen. After the "Gut Westerhardt" golf course, the route runs through a long forest section. Then you reach Buxheim, where you can swim in the pond, visit the Charterhouse, or stop for refreshments.
The return route goes via the town of Memmingen, where another stop is recommended to explore the old town or eat ice cream at the marketplace. Afterwards, the route leads you back to Bad Grönenbach via Woringen and Zell on the roadside cycle path.
Alternatively, you can take the train from Memmingen to Bad Grönenbach; from Bad Grönenbach station it is then 3 km back to the starting point.
