The circular route passes the places Chieming and Waging, small villages, hamlets, individual farms and nothing but pure nature in between! Sections are gently hilly with impressive Alpine panorama.
Characteristics: mostly on lightly trafficked secondary roads or bike paths through the hilly foothills of the Alps, ideal for families! We recommend mountain bikes, touring bikes or e-bikes.
Ideal combinations:
- The Chiemsee Ring Line is a bus line service that takes cyclists back to the starting point at any time from late May to mid-October.
- The Southeast Bavaria Railway with bike transport connects Waging am See with Traunstein. There you can change to the Munich-Salzburg railway line and, for example, get off again at Übersee to return to the Chiemsee.

- Always check the lighting system, brakes, tires and reflectors of your bicycle before starting!
- Wear light, reflective clothing in poor visibility (dusk, darkness, fog, etc.). Alternatively: vest or ankle bands with reflector strips.
- Especially in autumn and winter, leaves lying on the ground can conceal possible unevenness, roots, stones or holes in the path.
- Attach tall bicycle flags to your children’s bikes as well so even the smallest riders are well noticed in road traffic.
