Starting from the Tourism Office at Messplatz in Annweiler am Trifels, the route initially leads between the Sparkasse and VR-Bank, through the parking deck, onto the main street. Keep left following the main street. Opposite Café Escher, turn right into Burgstraße. Follow this street and continue along the spa park following Burgstraße until you reach the hiking car park.
Continue over the hiking car park always following the paved path and follow the left curve. Here you can orient yourself using the Burgentour marking. At the fork above the Naturfreundehaus, keep right continuing on a wide farm track. Now pay attention to the routing on the overview map. Always stay on the wide farm tracks. Through these, you will reach the Schlossäcker car park.
