Bridges, train stations, brick – WunderlineGO
Note: The route leads over the Friesenbrücke. This is currently not open for bicycle traffic. As soon as the bridge is opened, you can enjoy the entire route on the WunderlineGO route!
The Friesenbrücke route takes you over mighty bridges, past charming brick churches, and through enchanted polder landscapes. Sometimes you feel the vastness of the Ems below you, sometimes you dive into the past – for example, when you stand in front of the former poorhouse in Weener or admire historic ships in the Museum Harbor Leer. Those who want to go high up dare to cross the new Friesenbrücke – the largest vertical lift bridge in Europe – or enjoy the view from the Bunder Mill. And if you feel like taking a break, cozy places like the Organeum with its collection of historic instruments await you.
