Brewery Tour North

We start our tour at the Wolnzach Town Hall and cycle out of town. Via the hop trail, we reach Lohwinden. Here, we have to pedal hard for the last few meters to manage the ascent. Passing the pilgrimage church, the route takes us further to Rohrbach. For a short stretch, we follow the Ilmtal tour and are accompanied by brightly green hop gardens. The air shimmers lightly in the summer warmth, and the scent of hops surrounds us.
We leave Waal and Rinnberg behind us. On the way to Pörnbach, small climbs await us, but also some downhill stretches. We pass the castle and the former brewery site. The Schlossbrauerei Pörnbach, one of the oldest German breweries, was once housed here. Upon arriving in Reichertshofen, we take a short break with a view of the Paar, before continuing our path towards Geisenfeld. We discover the former Benedictine nunnery, the sensory garden, and the sculpture trail. To better enjoy the artworks, we get off the bike and push it for a short distance. The signposting guides us via Gaden and Untermettenbach finally to Rottenegg. Accompanied by numerous hop vines, we return to Wolnzach.
