The interesting thing about this route is the fact that you can ride on the Brenner railway track, which was only closed in 1999, passing the abandoned Schelleberg station as well as several old railway guard houses.
The parking lot is located directly on the bike route to the Brenner. You first follow it for 250 m slightly downhill, then ride parallel to the railway line into the Pflersch valley. The three-thousand-meter peaks of the Stubai Alps greet you from afar. The bike path runs the first 3 km with slight ups and downs. After that, it gets a bit steeper, but several switchbacks make it easier to overcome the 90 m altitude gain to reach the old Brenner railway track. From now on, it goes on the disused railway track converted into an extra-wide cycle path and with minimal gradient downhill again. At the old Schelleberg station, you now have a nice view of Gossensass. The bike path continues comfortably. Passing several partly dilapidated railway guard houses, after 4.5 km you reach the chapel and the information board about the thermal water of Brennerbad and its history. Here you unfortunately have to cross the Brenner state road for 250 m, crossing the Eisack river, before continuing on
