Return route via bike/field paths and partly on the country road via Bokeloh, Haste, Bad Nenndorf back to Barsinghausen.
The tour starts at the ASB station in Barsinghausen. We were traveling in a small group of six. The ride quickly goes to Rehrbrinkstraße (L392), then northwards on the bike path to the B65. We cross it, have to change the side of the road, and continue straight past Landringhausen, through Groß Munzel, crossing the A2 near Holtensen, then the Mittelland Canal. The bike path was quite easy to ride until here, although there were traffic noises from the country road next to the bike path.
This stops after we immediately turn left onto a paved field path after the Mittelland Canal. It leads past a dog training area and various sports fields to Wunstorf. Here, you can ride side by side; the nature provides the necessary calm, and cycling here is enjoyable.
The long "Barnestraße" and the "Haster Straße" lead to the center, and crossing the Hagenburger Straße, we slowly leave Wunstorf again. After about 1 km, we reach the excursion pub "Alten's Ruh" – here begins a beautiful forest route towards Steinhude.
The route goes practically straight to Steinhude. We reach the center without problems, to the promenade with beautiful views of Lake Steinhude.
Stay and activities here depend on the visitors' interests and the necessary return trip.
We leave Wunstorf as we came, but soon turn right towards B441 and beyond to Bokeloh; recognizable from afar by the potash heap. From the "Forststraße" it goes into the "Haster Wald" forest, unpaved paths – but passable in dry weather.
Just before Haste, the Mittelland Canal is crossed; often seen but always worth a stop. Maybe a boat will come.
After Haste, the villages Riehe, Waltrighausen, and after the A2, Wichtringhausen follow. The route is easy to ride – paved farm roads, quietly located.
From Bantorf, a short section can be ridden on the bike path next to the B65, then switch to the "Karl-Blume-Weg" toward the ASB station. Via the "center of Barsinghausen" we reach our starting point.
