Asparagus tour

Starting point for cycling fun following the trail of the popular vegetable is the oasis Steinerskirchen. Via Freinhausen and Starkertshofen we reach Reichertshofen. We leave the town heading northeast and pass the recreational facility Heideweiher on the further route towards Feilenforst. Here, especially on beautiful days, a wonderful place for a short break unfolds. Through Feilenforst we get to Geisenfeld, which according to legend is the origin of Hallertau hop cultivation.
From Geisenfeld it goes along the Ilm via Königsfeld and Fahlenbach to Rohrbach. Worth a detour there are the old castle and the modern parish church on a ridge of the Ilm valley. The journey continues via Ottersried and Gambach to Pörnbach. Here we can enjoy the landscape shaped by asparagus cultivation. We follow the signs via Oberkreut, Weichenried and Lindach to Tegernbach. We continue cycling to Göbelsbach and Seibersdorf to Koppenbach and Rachelsbach. Here the asparagus tour leaves the district of Pfaffenhofen towards Schrobenhausen.
