Scenic circular route on bike paths and quiet lanes into the hinterland of Ulm
to the Panorama Höhenweg Oberelchingen. In föhn conditions, a fantastic Alpine panorama appears here.
We ride 500 m upstream from Bad Blau to the wooden arch bridge and turn right there.
Then we pedal uphill through the Schammental valley to Lehr and Jungingen and follow the sign to Seligweiler. We ride parallel to the motorway and go under it at Thalfingen.
(Anyone who wants can shorten here and descend to Thalfingen and then follow the Danube cycle path to Ulm.)
But we continue on the ridge and follow the sign "Panorama Höhenweg Oberelchingen." The Oberelchingen monastery church and the parish garden invite you to visit.
By the way, just north of the monastery walls, on October 14, 1805, the battle between the Austrian and the French forces of Napoleon took place. Afterwards, it goes down into the Bavarian Danube valley. The Pfuhl bathing lake invites you to swim in summer.
We then ride past the Edwin Scharf-Haus, enjoy the wonderful view of Ulm, and cycle back through the Blau valley to Blaustein.

I use the Bosch NYON for navigation
Copy GPX to the navigation device, here's how;
Choose your route on outdooractive on the LAPTOP. On the screen you see 3 horizontal dots in the top right corner. Click there and you will find the flag "GPX"
The file is then copied to your downloads folder.
Now you can download the file with the program BOSCH E-bike Connect via the menu items "Route planning and download GPX track." It is then automatically transferred to your Bosch NYON.
It is not quite so easy with just the smartphone (unless you have the outdoor active pro installed on your smartphone alone)
But there is a trick:
You must send the file to a second email address.
In the received email, click the link and open it with e-bike Connect.
The file is then automatically loaded into the Nyon.
