There are many places to stop: kiosk at Ludwigsfelder swimming lake, Riedswirtshaus on the road to Finningen, Bärenwirt in Neuhausen, Adler Holzheim, kiosk at Pfuhler Lake, mobile ice cream stand at the jetty in Offenhausen, several beer gardens in Friedrichsau and of course in the cities of Ulm and Neu Ulm
Very close to the Donaubad parking lot are Done's beer garden and the pizzeria Jakobsruhe

The route starts from the P+R parking lot at the TV Wiblingen sports facility, first crossing the traffic light to the other side of Wiblinger Ring. Then over the large intersection, shortly afterwards turn left through the underpass into the small industrial area. Before the next underpass turn right and follow along the red wall to Ulmer Straße. Turn left and continue straight over the Iller bridge on the bike path to the pedestrian traffic light. After the underpass, turn right, follow along the Iller canal to the power plant. Here, cross the bridge into Ludwigsfeld.
After crossing Memminger Straße past the high-rise buildings, keep left and continue to the traffic training area, then right to Ludwigsfelder swimming lake. After the lake turn left and go straight for the next 4 km until just before Finningen. To avoid entering the village, turn right here and continue on field paths to Neuhausen. You can stop for a good meal at the Bären inn. Then a short way back and then through Holzheim to Remmeltshofen. From here, follow along the Rot river to Staig and on to Nersingen. Pass by the lakes to Leibi and then under the A7 on the suspended bridge over the Danube. After a small detour through the forest, you reach the Danube embankment and continue on it to the bridge at Thalfingen, here cross to the other side and continue parallel to the Danube (passing Pfuhler swimming lake) to the jetty in Offenhausen. Alternatively, you can also continue on the Neu-Ulm side to the Adenauer bridge (B10) and cross here. On the Ulm riverside, parallel to the railway to the ruined building, turn left to the Wiblingen power plant. Then continue along the Danube canal to the Kast bridge, under Wiblinger Allee towards Gögglingen, cross left at the traffic light, turn left again shortly after and the starting point is reached shortly afterwards.
The route can alternatively be started at the Donaubad parking lot (motorhome parking space). It is about 800 m to the traffic light at Wiblinger Straße. The loop via Wiblingen can then be omitted or done.
