Let others know about your route:
- Routes are more enjoyable and safer when done in pairs
- Inform the reception desk what you plan to do and when you expect to return
- In emergencies, summit or hut book entries or talking with the hut keepers can save lives (mobile network service is not always reliable in the mountains!)
In an emergency:
- Stay calm, call emergency number: 112
- Where? Make sure you know where you are and activate your location services and mobile data!
- What? When? What injury? How many?

- Provide first aid
Roadbook
You start at the hotel and ride to Wallgau. You pass through the town heading toward Lake Walchensee. At the end of the town, a bike path begins which partly runs along the road and partly over a forest road in the woods. You follow this path to Einsiedel. You turn right to the lake, then left over the Zwergern peninsula, along the shore over beautiful meadows, and past the Klösterle to the town of Walchensee. Now follow the road to Urfeld. There, turn right and follow the hiking/bike path along the stunning northern shore of Lake Walchensee, past the protected yew-covered island Sassau to Niedernach. From there, take the toll road through many bays back to Einsiedel. Now return the same way back to Krün. For a quick refreshment, a dip in the lake is highly recommended.
