We start at the Seeglas Beach Bath. To avoid cycling along the road right at the beginning, we first head eastwards, slightly uphill to the district of Gasse. Passing beautiful farms, we reach St. Quirin. Here we have to cycle along the main road to Tegernsee. But on the wide bike path we have enough space and the view of the mountains and the lake makes up for it. Once in Tegernsee, it is worth considering pushing the bike from the Seesauna to use the jetty directly on/over the water. From the town hall on, the path is again open to bikes. After a short climb, the detour to the little Parablui at the Point is worthwhile to enjoy the view of the beautiful Egerner Bay. Back at the main road, we head towards Rottach-Egern. Here we immediately turn right into Seestraße. A look in the shop windows is worthwhile, even if most cannot really afford to shop here. We continue past bathing bays, over the Weissach, until we meet the main road (bike path) again. However, we leave this again at the next opportunity to cycle closer to the shore. Even in Bad Wiessee, the promenade is partly closed to cyclists, but here we only have to divert onto lightly trafficked side streets or push our bike again. As soon as we reach the Yacht Club, we turn into a small, almost hidden path that runs directly along the lake until we meet the main road again. Here we have to decide whether to cycle on the bike path along the road or take a few more elevation meters to reach the district of Holz via the golf course. Option two is definitely recommended. In Kaltenbrunn, we once again enjoy the unique view over the lake. Normally, we would already take the path towards the lake here, but the bridge over the Mangfall is currently being renewed (current status until August 2021), so we have to take the detour over Gmund Stachus. But as soon as we cross the Mangfall here, we turn back towards the lake. And if anyone has not yet enjoyed the cool water, they should finally do so here. The car is not far away.
