Kindsbach is a local municipality in the eastern Palatinate moorland at the northwestern edge of the Palatinate Forest, 12 km east of Kaiserslautern. Northwest of Kindsbach lies the Silbersee, a popular excursion destination with a restaurant in the Palatinate moorland.

Starting point of the route is at the train station in Kindsbach. From the train station, follow Eisenbahnstraße, Hirtenpfad, and Marktstraße in line with the cycle path signage to Kaiserstraße. There you turn right and after 100 m left into Steigstraße. At the end of this street, continue uphill on a paved forest path until you reach a junction where you turn left onto a paved forest path leading to Einsiedlerhof.
In Einsiedlerhof, turn right into Kaiserstraße and after 150 m left into the street "Zum Einsiedlerhof". You go under the railway tracks and continue on Weilerbacher Straße to the Ramsteiner Straße junction.
Here turn left. Shortly before Kindsbach, you come across the cycle path "Palatinate Lake Route". Turning right, follow the cycle path signage towards Ramstein.
Between Ramstein and Landstuhl, you join the "Sickinger Mühlenradweg", on which you cycle via Landstuhl back to the starting point in Kindsbach.
