Around Graz

I start very early to avoid excursion traffic. From Prankergasse, I ride towards Hauptplatz to the starting point of the tour. My Karoo3 takes me there, then I follow the track towards Gratkorn. After just under half an hour, I turn left and follow the track. It's a steady uphill and downhill towards the south. I pass the picturesque Thakler Lake and continue along the track. Near Seiersdorf, dense fog sets in. I only ride at walking speed to avoid missing any turns. After just under two hours, I come to a construction site and can go no further. I ride into the unknown, hoping my Karoo will bring me back to the track. It does, but I ride in circles. I return to the construction site, then - thank heavens - a cyclist comes towards me. I ask him for the right way and he explains it to me. I thank him and continue, but only up to the described footbridge over the Mur. I cross the river and consider how to proceed. Since the route crosses the Mur at the construction site, I ride along the Mur back. After about a kilometer, the original track appears at the upper edge of the navigation. Thank God. Onwards with steady uphill and downhill. After nearly five hours, I meet the route I took from Hauptplatz towards Gratkorn. To conclude this very nice Graz circuit, I refreshed myself at Kaffee Muhr before heading back to the apartment and then back to Bad Aussee.
