The route leads through the forest east of Dobel and via Neusatz to the source area of the Dobelbach. Dobel valley and the town area of Bad Herrenalb lie on the route before it climbs again to Weithäusle (823 m) and from there with a beautiful view into the Eyach valley to Dobel.

Over the southern part of Wildbader Straße, we reach below the forester’s house on the left onto the “Hummelsteinweg” into dense forests and pass through the rocky gorge of the upper “Salmüßgrund”. At the forest junction by the “Schwabhausener Hütte” we begin the circuit of the “Horntann plain” on a initially level section heading east. After about 2 km we come upon the “Eyachhangweg” and continue on it to the “Dreimarkstein”. There we cross the state road (L 340). Extreme caution is advised because speed is not limited on this road. The route continues over the “Neusatzer Sträßle”, the “Kohlrankweg”, and the “Ecklesweg” (“Gasleitungsweg”) branching off to the right back to the northeastern edge of Dobel, and from there via the sharply turning “Ölmeierweg” and the “Vorderen Baumweg” to the “Neusatzer Pfütz'”, a small water lily pond with a former lookout tower. We take the urgently to be repaired road towards Dobel, carefully cross the district road K 4331, and ride about 300 m on the “Dennacher Weg” before turning right downhill towards “Dobeltal” to the “Krummeichenweg”. Above the “Dobelbachquelle” we encounter a path in a curve that leads us along the western valley edge, past the wildlife enclosure and water treading facility, to the “Dobelbachweg”, and on this into the district “Bleiche” and from there over the “Bleichweg” into the town area of Bad Herrenalb. On the heavily trafficked “Kurpromenade” (state road L 564) we reach the roundabout by the Kurhaus. The monastery ruins can be visited very nearby. From the roundabout, we take the “Dobler Straße” (state road L 340) to the right-branching “Alte Dobler Straße”. After a steep 200 m section on Alte Dobler Straße, we turn sharply into “Gaisbrunnenweg”. From the junction at “Gaisbrunnen” we use the “Ächtlersweg”, which after about 3.5 km crosses the paved road from the “Oberes Gaistal” to the “Weithäusle”. Again at a sharp angle, we turn there and reach the saddle of the “Weithäusleplatz” via the “Hirschgrasloch-Kar”, formed during the last Ice Age. With views of the “Wildbader Berge” we travel over the “Stollenweg” above the Eyach valley to the “Lehmannsweg”, and on this, past the “Sommerhalde-Hütte”, and through the upper “Mannenbachtal” to Dobel.
At the forest edge, we reach the “Kastanienkreuzung” and cross the height to Wildbader Straße and follow this back to the Kurhaus.
