We set off on our circular tour from the Bottrop-Boy S-Bahn station in Horster Strasse. Behind the railway tracks we turn right into Wallmannstra&szlig and cycle straight on into Kreulshof. Then we turn left into Hebeleckstra;e and at the roundabout we take the third exit into Gungstra;e. Behind the tracks we turn left into Hugo-Stinnesstra;e, then right into Lindenstra;e and continue straight on, first into Flötteststra;e and then on Gungstra;e üe over the wide Bundesstra;e in the direction of Karnap/Horst. First on Arenbergstra;e, then turn right into II. Schockenhecke and then left again, along the banks of the Emscher in an easterly direction. Soon you will see an amphitheatre on the right (1), behind which you cross the Rhine-Herne Canal via the impressive arched bridge (2). Now we cycle to the right of the canal until the path automatically takes us across the canal again and directly to the Wilde Insel Park (3), where we can take a break and let our legs dangle for a while. We continue our cycle tour in a northerly direction, soon crossing the wide Kurt-Schumacher-Strasse, then Uechtingstrasse, and shortly afterwards turn right at a large crossroads into Holzbachstrasse. Finally, we pass Eichkamp on Kleiweg, cross under the A2 and turn right onto Im Emschenbruch to Herten. However, we do not cycle into Herdern, but pass the town on Im Schlosspark and then turn left into Resser Weg. This road soon becomes Recklinghauser Stra&szlig and then Reesestra&szlig, which we follow through the Stadtwald to Buer. In the centre of the town, we pass a church (4) on the left on Horster Strasse, then turn right into Vinckestra&szlig, then left into Devesestra&szlig and further on, once again right and left into Claesdelle Strasse. At the entrance to Glaubeck, cross the wide Essener Stra;e and continue first along Schürenkampstra;e üe over the railway tracks, then turn right into Grabenstra;e and finally turn left again into Bachstra;e. Cross the Kirchplatz and turn left into Hochstra&szlig, where you meet Bottroper Stra&szlig and follow it to Ellinghorst. We cross under the A2 again and now join Gladbecker Stra&szlig. We cycle along Gladbecker Strasse for a long stretch until we reach Bottrop, where we turn left onto Germaniastraße. We then turn left into Paßstra;e and left again into Prosperstra;e to reach a hill with an artistic tetrahedron (5), which is well worth a visit. Continue past the tetrahedron and first along Nierfeldweg and then along Rober-Brenner-Strasse in a northerly direction back to our starting point, the Bottrop-Boy S-Bahn station in Horster Strasse;
