Achterland

You start at the Bockwindmühle Pudagla, which was built in the first half of the 17th century. On the bike path along Schmollensee, you ride via Stoben to Benz. There stands the St. Petri Church from the 13th century and the Dutch windmill Benz. You continue cycling to Neppermin. Along the idyllic landscape with a fantastic view of the Achterwasser, you reach Dewichow and Morgenitz. Next to the ceramic artist Astrid Dannegger's studio in Morgenitz stands a brick church, first documented in 1318. The route takes you further into the Lieper Winkel. In the village of Liepe is probably the oldest church on Usedom, the St. Johannes Church, built in 1216. Then it continues to Rankwitz past the harbor. On the bike path, you then continue to Mellenthin. In the middle of the village is the village church, built in 1319, and the Mellenthin Water Castle, built in 1575.
