We start at Cafe West, cross the street and ride down to Klostersee and the former castle that is now operated as a monastery with a small but excellent shop and a monastery cafe. Unfortunately, the bikes have to stay outside the gate, but the visit is definitely worth it. After the visit, we quickly descend to Glonn. At the town hall, we turn right and cycle past “Marktblick” to Adling, above the Schrankenbach. The valley now serves as a floodplain. Shortly thereafter, we reach the gravel forest path towards Steinsee. Steinsee is said to be the warmest bathing lake in Germany and is accordingly popular. We continue on forest paths and lightly trafficked roads to Kirchseeon. Via Forstseeon, we reach Egglburger See, a preferred sanctuary for various birds. Moreover, we stand on the dream property from the TV film "My Neighbor, His Dachshund & I" over which A.K Kramer and G.M Halmer dispute. Through a short but not easy forest area (possibly pushing), we circle the lake and come to the forest and observation tower along an avenue along the series of ponds. About 180 steps bring us to the top platform with a wide panoramic view. Some freedom from dizziness is required, however. We visit the historical sites of Ebersberg and Grafing. By arrangement, also the extraordinary cross grave museum at the old cemetery. Via Pienzenau, we come to Brucker Moor. A climb awaits us that demands quite a bit. Passing Cafe Bauer, known for its extremely large cake pieces, we reach the district road on which we ride the short stretch to Westerndorf and back to Cafe West.

    Roadbook

We start at Cafe West, cross the street and ride down to Klostersee and the former castle that is now operated as a monastery with a small but excellent shop and a monastery cafe. After the visit, we quickly descend to Glonn. At the town hall, we turn right and cycle past “Marktblick” to Adling, above the Schrankenbach. Shortly thereafter, we reach the gravel forest path towards Steinsee. We continue on forest paths and lightly trafficked roads to Kirchseeon. We cycle right for a short stretch parallel to the main road and do not follow the signs further but turn left towards Forstseeon. Via a narrow field path, we reach Egglburger See. Through a short but not easy-to-cycle forest area (possibly pushing), we circle the lake and come to the forest and observation tower along an avenue beside the series of ponds. Since we plan another round through the forest, this time we ride down into the city center. After sightseeing, we then follow the signs to Grafing. Here too, we only follow the bike path up to the federal road. Shortly after the federal road, we keep left and reach Grafing near Munich via quiet field paths. After the center, we head towards the station and thus come to Pienzenau. (On our route, this was the recommended detour for the closed Brucker district road and therefore heavily trafficked). In Pienzenau, we turn right and reach Brucker Moor via field paths. After Brucker Moor, a climb awaits that demands quite a bit. Passing Cafe Bauer, known for its extremely large cake pieces, we reach the district road on which we ride the short stretch to Westerndorf and back to Cafe West.
