Weißseespitze

From Melag in the inner Langtauferer Valley (1915 m) always on the wide forest road (first marker 2, then 5) down to the Melager Alm (1970 m; refreshment) and after the nearby bridge on the classic hut path 2 up to the Weißkugelhütte (2542 m); from Melag 2:30 hours – possible overnight stay here. – From the hut then on the well-marked Richter path for a long time almost flat or only slightly ascending through the slopes into the valley, through a small waterfall and finally ascending in switchbacks (here good new cable ropes at steep and exposed sections) up to the edge of the Gepatschferner; now crossing onto the here quite flat and almost crevasse-free glacier section, then over a very steep firn or ice surface up into a flatter but initially very crevassed zone (however, no problem on bare ice) and finally in a long glacier hike over the huge glacier (mostly boot tracks, during snow conditions hidden transverse crevasses require great caution!) sometimes lightly ascending,
