(2 ) Now climb the Verborgen-Berg-Ferner and ascend to the entrance to the Turmscharte. The Turmscharte is an easy climb. There are fixed ropes for support. However, follow the safety instructions.
Once we reach the saddle, we have our first view of the summit. In a short bend to the right, we cross the Berglasferner to the summit base. Then an easy scramble up to the summit cross. Observe the safety instructions here too.
(3 ) We descend quickly to the lake via the Turmferner. Due to the steepness, it is advisable to take a right turn. However, do not get too close to the right-hand rock face due to the risk of falling rocks. At the lake, we reach the normal route to the Aperen Turm. We take this path downhill and soon reach the path over the glacier moraine on which we came. The descent over the moraine can now also be done via the unmaintained upper path. This requires more surefootedness than the maintained path. However, it is more beautiful due to the waterfall and small lake. At the end of the moraine, no matter which path you take, you come back to the crossroads and the small bridge over the Alpeiner Bach stream. Now take the familiar path back to the Franz-Senn-Hütte.
(Variant 1) From the Turmscharte via the Berglasferner to the Wilde Hinterbergl (3288m) and then to the Vorderer Wilden Turm as described above.
(Variant 2) You can also descend from the Vorderer Wilden Turm via the west ridge of the Aperen Turm. There are iron pins in the ridge.
Variants 1+2 result in a three-summit tour.
