Starting point approx. 3 km after the cable car station Montania Bianca car park 2300m

There is also a sign here, follow the wide gravel path to the junction to the summit of Montania Blanca, from here turn right and follow the ascent path to Teide. Before the cable car station turn right through a gate to the summit.

Attention no summit ascent without permission

but from 4:30 pm the controllers go down to the valley, the path is clear, and you can finally ascend to the summit of Teide at 3718m.

The descent follows the ascent path, one should have a headlamp with them
