From the Rifugio Guide della Val d'Ayas (3,425 m) we ascend to just below the Pollux. From here, the route goes eastward, below the twin pass to the west flank of the Castor. We ascend this to the summit ridge and shortly thereafter to the summit of the Castor (4,228 m). The descent leads along the southeast ridge to the Felikjoch and from there down the broad ridge to the Rifugio Quintino Sella (3,585 m).
