The "Via Amici" on the Lochberg offers seven pitches over 300 meters of climbing in a breathtaking landscape. If you want a bit of peace away from the much frequented routes at Hannibalturm near the Sidelen hut or the famous Niedermann in the Graue Wand, then the Lochberg is highly recommended. Although the approach is longer, about 2 hours in total, the climbing is definitely worth it. The protection is good. The belays are each equipped with two bolts and there are enough bolts in the pitches themselves. Since the bolt spacing is sometimes a bit wider, protection can be improved in places with nuts and slings. Therefore, you should be skilled in using mobile protection. The many flakes and cracks are very suitable for this. If you want to climb the actual Lochberg summit, you can do so, but you need a good sense of route finding, secure walking, and enough mobile protection, as the route from the last belay of the Via Amici to the summit itself has to be protected.
