Anyone looking for peace away from the heavily frequented routes in Ponte Brolla will find it here. The Placche di Paleria on Pizzo della Croce offers a good dozen routes between 6a and 7b. The Nâlân is the second to last route in the left wall section and counts as one of the easier routes with 6a+ (5c+ obligatory). Apart from a trickling trickle and the rustling chestnut leaves in the wind, nothing can be heard. Here one can still enjoy silence. Those who master the first pitch over a friction slab with slightly larger bolt distances well should have no problems on the remaining pitches. Overall, the Nâlân offers great climbing over friction slabs, overhangs, cracks, and passages on fantastic crystals, always with a beautiful view of the Valle Onsernone and the hilly areas in front of Lago Maggiore.
