Very beautiful, alpine sport climbing route through one of the most remote yet most beautiful and impressive wall clefts in the Hochschwab massif!

The "half-circle" of the "Rings" belongs to the most impressive and lonely rock landscapes in the Alps, only very rarely does a hiker stray here into this high karst, not to mention climbers. The ascent leads through the so far unclimbed wall to the right of the legendary route "Herrn der Ringe", a legendary first ascent by Helga and Rudi Lindner. Mostly solid, compact, and water-eroded rock with some unusual pitches for Hochschwab, mostly slabs and water grooves. In the upper part, very exposed and steep crack climbing. All in all a great route with very alpine ambiance! The route is dedicated to Markus Faiman, who died in February 2002 at Schneeberg at the age of 32. The rock quality (limestone) is good to very good, the protection (anchor bolts, natural protection, pitons) is good. Difficulty 7+ and 7 (some sections), mostly between 5 and 6+ (7- optional). The belays in the topo are color-coded depending on quality and equipment. The legend of the topos can be found here.
