Short climbing on a great granite needle with a hard crux, well protected with normal and bolt anchors, friends recommended for additional protection
The route on the Kleines Kamel offers 4 pitches with a total of about 120 climbing meters. The crux (6a/5c obligatory) is in the last pitch. It can also be overcome with aid at the bolt. Afterwards follows a boulder move from a ledge to get over the edge onto the summit plateau. The Kleines Kamel stands next to its big brother, the Grosser Kamel, in the Untere Bielenlücke between Grosser and Kleiner Bielenhorn, near the Sidelenhütte in the canton of Uri. It became famous through the Mammut advertisement where 26 alpinists (including some Swiss mountain guides) stood on the small summit.
