Indirect VII (VI+ obl.) on the Hoher Dachstein (2,995m)
In the Eastern Alps there are few walls of this height and with such ideal climbing rock. The Indirect is always looking for the ideal, free climbing line.
There are only a few NHs (and a few BHs in the lowest part) on the route, but the protection options with KK and friends are good. In the first third of the route (originally described as the "ideal entry" to the serpentine), almost all of the belays have been refurbished. In combination with the direct route on the slab pillar, the 6th degree is required throughout, which is why you should increase the pace after reaching the Goedel-Steiner, as the summit wall still has some challenging routes. This is a top route for persistent, fast alpine climbers who are experienced in route finding, and orientation skills and a sophisticated belay technique are essential. One of the most difficult and also longest climbs in the Dachstein south face, which can be easily combined with neighbouring routes and variations, or in the uppermost section also with the Rote Mauer (6+, H/f/6).
