There are not many multi-pitch routes in the lower difficulty level with a short approach. On the Plombergstein in St. Gilgen, new climbing routes have been created in a short space of time alongside the "Juniperus" route, which has existed for many years. "Edelweiss" was created in spring 2015. Due to the south-east-facing location, the climbing routes are often also accessible in winter. A few years ago, however, there were problems with the landowners. For this reason, it is essential to use the car park on the main road.
Author’s recommendation
A visit to the nearby Steinklüfte (huge boulders) with a short, impressive circular route is well worthwhile!

From the car park, follow the ascending side road in the direction of the clearly visible Plombergstein. At the end of a left-hand bend, turn right at a signpost to reach the AV Klettergarten. Now follow a hiking trail downhill along the stream. At a crossroads with a signpost, keep left and pass the start of the "Taxus" route as it ascends. A few metres further on, path tracks on the left lead in a left-hand bend to the start (signpost with route name).
Route: see topo
Descent: Keeping right from the bench (in the direction of the ascent), the narrow descent path begins. We recommend keeping left after a few metres to climb up to the nearby hut on the Plombergstein and, after a view of Lake Wolfgangsee, descend via trail no. 17 (with black dot - Staffelgraben) to the AV Klettergarten. From there you can reach the car park again via the access path.
