Coulis de vertèbres (Ouvreur, Ailefroide)

Difficulty: often 6a, otherwise 5c+, one walking section The route "Coulis de vertèbres" is located in the sector "Ouvreur/Coulis/Calcanéum" on the right valley side behind Ailefroide. In the morning you can climb here in the shade, which is very pleasant especially on hot summer days. As with almost all routes around Ailefroide, the start is reached quickly and easily from the village center. The route leads over friction slabs, steep wall sections, cracks, traverses, and a pillar, making it a varied enterprise with homogeneous difficulties between 5c+ and 6a. The descent is on foot via the hiking trail leading to the Tête de la Draye. The protection with bolts is rated as very good; however, you should feel comfortable climbing in the 6th grade to really have fun.
