Cacao Girls (Paroi de Barberine, Barberine)
The Cacao Girls route lies on the Swiss-French border between Barberine and Châtelard in the Paroi de Barberine sector and offers 12 pitches over 330 climbing meters with difficulties from 5b to 5c+. In the 10th pitch, there is a short spot at 6b which can be climbed as 5b A0. When you first see the Paroi de Barberine at the bottom from the parking lot, it does not appear very attractive for climbing due to its wooded areas. But this is deceptive, and you should not be put off, as the Cacao Girls follows the compact rock sections. The route can be divided into three parts overall. The first part leads the first two pitches over slabs. Then it climbs steeper along a pillar with some surges to the third part, which after some meters is reached on foot through the forest.
