For years the rockfall area of Zwerchwand in Bad Goisern near Hütteneckalm was in a deep sleep. In 2004, Andreas Scheutz and Voika Höpfl began to establish multi-pitch routes on the 100m high wall with surprisingly excellent rock. Over the years more and more climbs have emerged that now attract alpine climbers from far regions. The presented route "Brilli" has become a popular destination due to excellent protection and moderate difficulty.

    Author’s recommendation

With a mountain bike, you can legally shorten the approach (especially the descent) to the rockfall area significantly!

    Roadbook

From the parking lot at the Berghof, follow the signs Rossmoosalm - Hütteneckalm first on a forest road, soon after on a gravel road. At Rossmoosalm, you meet the forest road again, which you follow to the right. At an incline, it narrows to a track, which we now use until its end at the rockfall area. Shortly descending on a path, you reach a cairn where you leave the hiking trail to the left and ascend over block terrain (cairns) to the base of the wall. Over a short ramp, go to the right up to the start.

Route progression: see photo and topo

Descent: From the exit, cross left through the forest terrain to the exit of the route Vergissmeinnicht. There rappel 4x25m. The rappel stations are not identical with those of Vergissmeinnicht (see topo).

Variant - foot descent: From the exit, go through the forest along the right of the ridge until small red dots indicate the descent. Through moderately steep terrain (also fixed rope) it goes down to the meadows near Hütteneckalm.
