The Bayerländerweg offers 14 pitches over 540 climbing meters and ranks among the longest climbs in the Allgäu Alps. Especially in mid-summer, the northwest face offers perfect conditions to escape the heat of the valley. Overall, the route is more for the physically fit alpine climber due to its longer approach and descent and about 5 hours of climbing time. The climbing starts at the deepest pillar protrusion and goes up the northwest pillar. The rock is mostly acceptable, but in the easier pitches there is also a lot of loose rock. This will not surprise the Allgäu expert. The protection is good. Belay stations and intermediate protection are bolted. In the easier pitches there are often no or only few intermediate protections. The terrain then is not very difficult and sometimes mobile protection can be placed, which is however not absolutely necessary.
