The Werdenberg region is located on the eastern border of Switzerland in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, surrounded by an impressive mountain landscape. 600 kilometers of routes for skating, cycling, mountain biking, and hiking are available to guests and locals alike. From leisurely mountain hikes to challenging mountain tours, everything can be found in the Werdenberg region.
Additionally, a nationally valuable and unique historical testimony awaits discovery: Werdenberg Castle and Town. The core keep of Werdenberg Castle dates back to 1228 and has been largely preserved from that time. Today, Werdenberg Castle, as the first inhabited castle in Switzerland, offers an extensive cultural program from April to October and invites visitors to explore it in a relaxed manner.
