Original Vélo Tour

Focused on slow tourism (also known as slowtourism), the Original Vélo Tour (OVT) concept offers guided, narrated, and gourmet bike rides in the SOUTH VENDÉE and the MARAIS POITEVIN.

Nature, culture, and terroir are the three main ingredients of OVT rides. Thus, our services focus on:

Slow tourism as mentioned above. Taking the time to enjoy the environment we are in,

Sustainable tourism. Since the Marais Poitevin is a fragile area, we do a lot of education to raise awareness among the tourists who come with us,

Inclusive tourism. In our loops, we integrate a whole network of stakeholders including our producers, partners, boat operators, caterers, …

Ecotourism (the discovery and development of our territory),

Cultural and heritage tourism (religious, military, and hydraulic),

Culinary tourism (not to be confused with gastronomic tourism around restaurants). Through visits to our local producers and tasting of their terroir products.

In this last aspect, we can also talk about « cyclo-enotourism ». Through our vineyards of South Vendée and our AOC Fiefs Vendéens wine estates. Not forgetting “cyclo brassitourism” with visits to craft breweries.
