Naturpark Hohe Mark
Right here in the middle of NRW between the Lower Rhine, Münsterland, and the Ruhr area lies a nature park? Yes, and what a one! You will be surprised how diverse our Hohe Mark Nature Park captivates you over almost 2000 km²: park-like landscapes with meadows and pastures, hedges, groups of trees, and heath areas border large forest areas and hilly regions. Again and again, you encounter lake panoramas, protected river floodplains, and streams.
Hike the new "Hohe Mark Steig" from Wesel to Olfen and experience its water route as well as the varied LandStreifer circular hiking trails.
Prefer not to go on foot? Then get on your bike and enjoy the "Hohe Mark RadRoute" and its new daily loops over 282 km.
The "Hohe Mark Steig" and the "Hohe Mark RadRoute" are funded by the European Union and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
