The Association of Municipalities of Baixo Tâmega (AMBT) was formalized on May 17, 2000, having as founders the municipalities of Amarante, Baião, Cabeceiras de Basto, Celorico de Basto, Marco de Canaveses, Mondim de Basto. AMBT has regional development has always been privileged as its main motivation, among other economic and social activities relevant to the Baixo Tâmega region.
This Association intends to create and build competitiveness factors so that the region develops in a homogeneous and sustainable way, both at the economic, social and environmental level.
