St. Moritz ist der schillerndste Wintersportort der Welt. Sein Name ist als Qualitätsmarke geschützt und steht weltweit für Eleganz und Klasse.
Hier wurde 1864 der Wintertourismus erfunden, und bis heute wird er nirgends stilvoller zelebriert. Gäste aus aller Welt lieben den modernen alpinen Lebensstil, der geprägt wird von einer Spitzengastronomie, die selbst am Pistenrand Gourmetträume erfüllt, von einer Hotellerie, die in jeder Verwöhnkategorie Massstäbe setzt, und von hochkarätigen Events mit internationaler Ausstrahlung: von den «White Turf»-Pferderennen über den «FIS Alpine Ski World Cup» und den «Snow Polo World Cup» bis hin zum Gourmet-Festival. Grosses Shopping auf kleinem Raum garantiert derweil die Via Serlas, doch gleich um die Ecke finden sich immer auch einheimische Spezialitäten wie die berühmte Engadiner Nusstorte. Von seiner sportlichen Seite präsentiert sich St. Moritz nicht nur am Hausberg Corviglia/Piz Nair mit seinen 100 Kilometer Pisten, sondern auch auf dem legendären Cresta Run und der weltweit einzigen Bobbahn aus Natureis. Kein Wunder, hat St. Moritz nach vier Alpinen Ski Weltmeisterschaften und zwei Olympischen Winterspielen in 1928 und 1948 den Zuschlag für die Austragung der FIS Alpinen Ski Weltmeisterschaften 2017 erhalten.
