Finally snow (about 10 to 20 cm, which we needed). After a failed attempt in Rochesson (rain and little snow) we drove on to Le Collet. The drive was already beautiful. Lots of snow. Parked the car and looked for the start of the blue route.

Departure from the Grand Ballon farm as the road was bad. Snowshoe loop made on powder snow so quite 'slippery' and not much grip, even with snowshoes. Attention to the small path that leaves the Grand Ballon and goes towards the col de Haag inn. It is on a steep slope downhill. You need to be well equipped (snowshoes or crampons). Have a good walk :-)

Very nice route, especially on the ridges :-). Nice climb but no steep slope to get there. Once at Rainkopf, I was lucky to have very strong wind and dry weather. A magnificent view up to the Alps and Mont Blanc. Descent a bit steeper and on a smaller and more technical path. Nothing complicated though :-)

A varied 6.5 km circuit, between wild forest and souvenir tourism, to easily discover one of the unique features of the Tête des Faux massif in its white coat.
