Riksgränsen is the northernmost ski resort in the world that was opened in 1928 at Malmbanan. It is situated just before the Norwegian border and its name Riksgränsen factually means "The National Border".Riksgränsen is one of Sweden's best ski destination. Generally, here is a real paradise for outdoor activities particularly for winter and mountain sports. At Riksgränsen you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, climbing, hiking, fishing, dog sledding as well as snowmobiling. Moreover, one of the unique attractions that make Riksgransen special is a skiing track that begins in Sweden, cross the border in to Norway and goes back in Sweden.
For some professionals Riksgränsen may be a little simple because there is just one top level track. Nevertheless, this resort is truly famous for its accessible heli-skiing and near unlimited ski touring on an enormous area.

Riksgränsen is located in Kiruna municipality just before the Norwegian border. It is in 130 km from Kiruna and 45 km from Narvik.
