Ski/Snowboard
On the sunny, mostly easy to intermediate slopes of the ski area, beginners and families feel particularly at home. On the outskirts of Livigno there are a few practice lifts with flat slopes where children and beginners can gain their first experience. However, the higher altitudes of the ski area also offer some easy to intermediate slopes. The wide slopes in the ski area are also very beginner-friendly and well-suited for carving.
More demanding skiers will find some black runs at Vetta Blesaccia and Monte della Neve, but there is always an easier alternative. The most difficult slopes include the 2.3 km Blesaccia run at Vetta Blesaccia and the 1.5 km "Scoiattolo" route at Monte della Neve.
For children
.There is plenty on offer for families with children in Livigno. The little ones from the age of three are delighted with the Lupigno Children's Club with its mascot Lupigno, where they learn to ski in a playful way with experienced ski instructors. For children between the ages of three and seven, there is a kindergarten at Meeting Point Mottolino with a large playroom, lots of toys, a dining area and a quiet corner for afternoon naps. Qualified staff supervise the children there so that adults can explore the slopes in the meantime.
.For snowboarders and freestylers
.Livigno offers snowboarders and freestylers four snowparks. The Mottolino Snowpark has various lines of all levels of difficulty, a halfpipe and superpipe, several rails and kickers as well as a jubbing area. The Livigno Park Carosello 3000 snow park also has several rails as well as boxes and two boardercross tracks. The third snowpark, the Woodpark, consists of obstacles and jumps made of wood and snow and is somewhat hidden in the forest below the middle station of the Carosello 3000 cable car. The offer for boarders and freestylers is rounded off with a natural halfpipe at the Monte Sponda chairlift.
And freeriders also feel at home in Livigno. Unlike in Italy, deep snow skiing is welcome here. There is a wide range of marked routes to choose from. There are even several avalanche-protected areas near the slopes in the ski area for freeride beginners.
Nordic/Winter hiking
In the valley of Livigno there are around 30 km of cross-country ski trails where Nordic athletes do their laps in front of a beautiful Alpine backdrop. Thanks to the snow cannons, 5 km of the trails are covered with snow and are already open from November. Most of the circuits are prepared in both classic and skating style. In December, Livigno hosts the annual international Sgambeda ski marathon, which is attended - among others - by professional athletes from all over the world.
For winter hikers, there are around 10 km of cleared winter hiking trails around the Lombardy winter sports resort, on which the wide valley can be explored through forests and across snow-covered alpine meadows. Snowshoe hikers will enjoy two different snowshoe trails: the 2 km Mine trail with 120 metres of altitude gain and the 3 km Tea dal Brun trail with 185 metres of altitude gain.
