Après Ski
Bardonecchia, the starting point of the route, is a well-known tourist resort in the upper Susa Valley for both winter sports and summer holidays. In summer it offers trails, mule tracks and military roads from the valley floor to the tops of the mountains, from 1300 to 3500 meters of altitude for all levels of difficulty along sunny itineraries and walks through the woods: the Guglia Rossa, the Val Fredda, the Tre Croci, the glacier del Sommeiller, Mount Tabor in Valle Stretta and the peak of Pierre Menue with the possibility of pleasant stops in the alpine refuges and at the numerous high-altitude pastures. Ski area with 22 lifts and more than 100 km of slopes, it was the site of the snowboard competitions during the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games. Alpine skiing and snowboarding are practiced on its slopes, as well as ski mountaineering, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing from snow.
