Long but scenically beautiful ski route that extends considerably on the described ascent route. The suggested descent is considerably quicker. Avalanche danger is low under normal conditions except for the steep slopes directly at the summit. There it can, however, become a serious threat. On the summit ridge, which is followed only briefly, one has to watch out for cornices under adverse conditions.

The Hoher Ifen (2229 m) defends itself all around with forbidding rock walls. However, a ski tour to this summit is definitely worth it because of the breathtaking view of the Allgäu Alps on one side and as far as Switzerland on the other.
