Az Országos Kéktúra mentén fekvő fedett pihenőhely sátrazásra is alkalmas környezetét védett geológiai feltárás és látványos sziklák teszik egyedivé.
A pihenőhely Kisgyóntól nem messze, a Tűzköves-árok szomszédságában, a K jelzés mentén fekszik. A négy oldalról nyitott esőbeálló alatt három garnitúra pad-asztalt találunk, ami nagyobb társaságoknak is helyet biztosít. A völgyben fekvő és fákkal szegélyezett tisztás piknikezésre és sátorállításra is ideális helyszín. Forrás nincs a közelben.

Az erdei pihenő északi szomszédságában látványos sziklaalakzat vonzza a tekintetet. A mohos, páfrányokkal tarkított, pados sziklák egyike méretes ammoniteszfosszília lenyomatát őrizte meg az utókornak, és több mint 100 ammonitafajt írtak le innen – többüket a világon elsőként A pihenőtől induló KΩ jelzést követve a sziklák feletti Kígyó-völgyi 2. számú barlangra is rálelhetünk, ami csupán néhány lépésre fekszik a táborhelytől.

A tisztástól 150 méterre délre, a K jelzés mentén erdei szentélyt, az egykori kisgyóni bányászok imahelyét találjuk. A kereszt előtt padok nyújtanak kényelmet az imához vagy pihenéshez.
