Hike to the Tonbach Valley wildlife enclosure - Pristine forests and wild deer
Nationalpark Schwarzwald
Nice hike through the Tonbach Valley to the National Park's wildlife enclosure.
Pristine forests and wild deer
On the hike through the Tonbach Valley, meadows and pastures alternate with pristine forests. From the large parking lot in Tonbach, the path leads across the quiet valley. Over partly narrow trails, you reach the red deer enclosure, which includes the floodplains on both sides of the stream along with the adjacent slopes.
There you can observe deer in their natural environment. At the edge of the enclosure, you will see a wooden hut for feeding the red deer, which the National Park team built in classic timber-framed style. The path then leads back from the enclosure to the parking lot.
