Spätmittelalterlicher Kreuzstein in Boritz
Der Kreuzstein ist eines der ältesten Wahrzeichen von Boritz. Er ist aus Sandstein mit einer sichtbaren Höhe von 132 cm. Im Mittelalter wurden Sühnekreuze als Buße für Gewalttaten für Angehörige der herrschenden Adelsklasse gesetzt. Aus einer urkundlichen Erwähnung über Getreidezinsen geht hervor, dass das Kreuz bereits im Jahr 1540 gestanden hat. Eine weitere Überlieferung besagt, dass am 17. Juli 1613 zwei Mägde vom Pfarrhof, die vom Felde heimkehrten, am Kreuzweg vom Blitz erschlagen worden sind. Die Zapfenlöcher deuten auf eine verlorengegangene Inschriftenplatte hin.
